The 2001 Sorì San Lorenzo is all about finesse and texture
This is another legendary vintage of Clos Erasmus in the making
The soft tannins and soft red fruits are dominated by clever work during the ageing process
especially when you add in the mature mouth feel and taste
and their younger brother Giovanni
Niepoort, Vintage Vintage:2007 The 2001 Sorì San LorenzoRuby purple, a bit more saturated than the Secundum. Brooding aromas of crushed black fruits, licorice and spices. Very ripe, thick and dense, with compelling sweetness of fruit. Bright, integrated acids give this very lush, fleshy, palate coating wine excellent tensile strength. Finishes impressively long and bright, with finely grained, mouthdusting tannins. This has a terrific kernel of fruit and a three dimensional palate feel. Stephen Tanzer
